Tip #1 Eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day.
In addition to fruits and vegetables being packed with fiber, so your stomach fills full, fruits and vegetables are also low in calories.
Tip #2 Keep an eye on your portion size
You do not need to finish and clean off the plate every time.
Tip #3 Do not skip meals
Eating small frequent meals will help to balance your calorie intake throughout the day. In addition, the smaller frequent meals will also keep your blood sugar level balanced. Remember, try to eat 5 - 6 smaller meals throughout the day rather than 3 big meals.
Tip #4 Fresh foods are better than canned or packaged foods
Packaged and convenient foods are usually higher in sodium and fat content.
Tip #5 Don't be overly-restrictive on your treats
If you have a small treat once in a while, it can be rewarding to your weight loss experience. Just allow yourself a little indulgence, but watch out for the frequency and the quantity.

Always read the nutrition label on the packaging.

Instead drink water. You should drink at least 8 glasses of water a day.
