Contrary to popular belief, healthy snacking is actually very beneficial. Eating healthy snacks actually helps you to refuel your body, maintain blood sugar and energy levels as well as control your appetite.
Guilt free healthy snacking will help your body get the nutrients it needs and help you avoid overeating at meal times.
Feel free to indulge in these guilt free healthy snacks for weight loss. Remember, a healthy body must get the correct nutrients before it can lose weight. Thus, below are a few guilt free healthy snacks for weight loss that I recommend:
1.Fruit and Yogurt Parfait. If possible, always choose organic plain yogurt. Flavored yogurts have a higher sugar content. Thus, if you must flavor your yogurt, try using fruit. Blueberries are an excellent choice as they have a lower glycemic content that will help balance blood glucose and insulin levels.
2.Romaine Lettuce Wrap With Organic Turkey and a Slice of Raw-Milk or Skim Mozzarella Cheese.
Romaine lettuce contains the highest nutritional and fiber content of all lettuce. In addition, turkey is 94% protein which helps you to lose weight by boosting your metabolism and decreasing hunger. By adding raw milk and cheese, you not only add flavor but also calcium without any harmful hormones or preservatives.
3. Veggie Sticks With Cottage Cheese Dip. Non-starchy vegetables contains a big amount of fiber. And fiber is essential for a healthy digestive system.
4. Shrimp Cocktail Shrimp is 90% protein. This is a low calorie, high protein snack.
5. A Handful of Nuts. Walnuts are the best choice since they are rich in protein and fiber. In addition, walnuts contain a high dose of omega 3 fatty acids (good fats) as compared to other nuts. Healthy fats such as Omega-3s are anti-inflammatory. This means that they help prevent inflammatory diseases such as stroke or heart disease.
6. Celery Sticks and Almond Butter. Almond butter is a healthier alternative to peanut butter since it does not contain added ingredients or preservatives and has better fats.
